Writing with Hope: Poetry & Expression Workshop
Thursday, June 11
@ 2:00 pm ET
After brain injury, the way we express ourselves can shift. Sometimes conversations move quickly, emotions feel big, or the things we want to say don’t fit neatly into everyday language.
Creative writing can open new doors.
Through poetry, lyrics, and simple writing prompts, we’ll explore meaningful ways to express thoughts, reflections, and pieces of our story - one word, line, or idea at a time.
Workshop Registration
Register or support our mission via the form below. A Pay What You Can option - including $0 - is available.
In this brain-injury-friendly workshop, we’ll explore accessible poetry prompts designed to help you express what’s hard to say - at your own pace, in your own way. No experience required. No pressure to rhyme. No “right” way to do it.
Designed for individuals living with brain injury, family members, and loved ones - whether you write regularly or have never written a poem before.
Together, we’ll create a space where words can be short, imperfect, powerful, and honest.
Guided by Hope Survives’ Cristabelle Braden & Jasmine Balignasay-Chavez, this workshop blends warmth, creativity, and connection.
What to expect:
A live session on Zoom
A low-stimulation space made for individuals and families navigating brain injury
Step-by-step poetry prompts
Writing Time
Time for connection with others who understand the journey
We can’t wait to connect with you. 💙
This space is created for individuals living with brain injury, their family/loved ones, and anyone who wants a gentle, creative way to express themselves.
You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you’d like - cameras on or off, listening quietly or sharing if it feels right. All modes of presence are honoured.
