Mandy S.

Hi! My name is Mandy and I sustained my life changing TBI Oct 2016. I love to listen to music with my husband, paint with family/color in coloring books and listen to audiobooks like my life depends on it (because sleeping is hard to come by and what else do you do in the middle of the night). I also do puzzle books to try and keep my brain going in the right direction. Prior to my accident I used to go to Metal concerts and Bruins/Red Sox/local softball games to keep my soul happy but I haven’t been to anything since due to crippling anxiety and PTSD. Hopefully someday I can overcome that and figure out if that’s truly still something that I love. I hope you enjoy my piece!

  • Life is a bumpy road

Life will always be a bumpy road. It's how you embrace it that truly matters. It will be full of imperfections and things will be difficult sometimes but always make sure you take the time to stop and smell the flowers. Enjoy the scenery, embrace how far you have become and the obstacles you have overcome. Life may be get a little hard but you will always be beautiful and so will the world around you if you just take a second to stop and breathe, look around and be proud of yourself. Just know that you are seen, heard, never alone and your feelings are always valid.
