Fractured
This is a collage piece inspired by my experiences as both a TBI survivor and a medical practitioner working with survivors. I survived two TBIs, one when a teenager and the second In University. The orange paper in the brain symbolise the areas of damage I had, and the split neuron on the side represents the cell-level damage that can occur in a TBI. The anatomical illustrations reflect the strong connection to neurological rehab I feel as a speech pathologist with lived experience of ABI.
