Overstimulation and brain fog can be frustrating both for the survivor and for the people around them. This week, Taryn Barlow is here to teach us some tools on how to evaluate our environment, lifestyle, and symptoms to figure out the source of overstimulation. We talk about practicing Sensory Awareness, how to have a "battle plan" of strategies to help, and the importance of being patient with yourself.

Meet Our Guest

Taryn Barlow is the Owner/CEO of her private practice, The Well Brain Cognitive Health Coaching. Taryn created this practice to fill a gap in care she saw while working as a neuro speech language pathologist. Taryn noticed that many individuals navigating life after brain injury were alone navigating the health care system, struggling to use strategies in the real world, and lacked confidence keeping life too small.

Taryn added additional education and certifications to build her brain injury knowledge base including Certified International Health Coach, Certified Brain Injury Specialist & Amen University Certified Brain Health Professional.

Taryn is passionate about supporting those who have sustained brain injury in balancing lifestyle, enabling them to thrive again in a model of care that is tailored to you as an individual. No brain injury journey is the same, yet every person deserves to navigate the world with cognitive confidence again.
