In this episode…

After a brain injury, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, unsure how to truly care for your brain in the day-to-day. What habits actually help? What mindsets make a difference? And how do you know when something just isn’t working?

Join our host, Cristabelle Braden, as she introduces 3 panelists: Stefanie Beeney, Charlotte Endorf, and Farook Outhmani. Each of our panelists has lived experience with brain injury, and shares openly about their personal journeys: what has helped them, what hasn’t, and what they’ve learned along the way.

You’ll hear honest insights about shifting mindsets, learning to rest, building healthy habits, and the importance of listening to your body. Through stories of trial and error, the panelists highlight the value of self-advocacy and support systems, while offering practical ideas and gentle encouragement for others navigating recovery.

Meet Our Panelists

Stefanie Beeney is a dedicated advocate for resilience and emotional well-being, inspiring others through her lived experiences. By sharing her journey with brain injury, ambiguous loss, and invisible disabilities, she fosters understanding and personal growth. Believing in the power of continuous personal evolution, Stefanie actively connects with her community on Instagram at @Evolving.Stef.

Charlotte Endorf lives in Magnet, NE (population of about 30) halfway between Yankton, SD and Norfolk, NE just off Highway 81.  Her husband and two rescue dogs fill their tiny home in their small berg.  Berg is the term the newspapers used when they mentioned the tornado that nearly destroyed the place.  An F4 tornado destroyed or damaged nearly every building in town on May 6, 1975.  Many recall how this tornado struck Omaha earlier that day, then Pierce, and then Magnet.  The townspeople took the motto, "The town too tough to die!"  Obviously, a few of us are still here.

Farook Outhmani: Forged, not broken. Gifted with grit.
I speak, write, and reflect on becoming whole—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
I bridge personal truth and professional insight to help people rise from the hardest moments.
A former dual major in creative writing and photography, I went on to study philosophy and sociology in college, focusing on the psychology of the self. While pursuing my MBA, I survived an attack causing a traumatic brain injury that completely shifted my trajectory - in many ways, to something more fulfilling.
