Dr. Alicia Reiser, OTD, MS, OTR/L is the Founder & Clinical Director at A Rise Above Occupational Therapy Services.

With over 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist, Dr. Alicia Reiser specializes in neurological rehabilitation with a particular focus on concussion and brain injury, vision remediation, cognitive rehabilitation, ADHD, and autonomic nervous system regulation. She is the founder and owner of A Rise Above Occupational Therapy Services, an integrative neurological rehabilitation practice in the Lehigh Valley.

Dr. Reiser earned her bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College, master’s degree from Misericordia University, and clinical doctorate from Salus University (now Salus at Drexel University), specializing in vision remediation. Her approach combines evidence-based neurological rehabilitation with vision remediation, cognitive retraining, trauma-informed care, interoception, and polyvagal-informed interventions to help individuals better understand their symptoms and regain function in everyday life.

Dr. Reiser is also an active contributor to occupational therapy research and education. She has published peer-reviewed research examining occupational therapy practice patterns for concussion-related vision disorders and OT curricula addressing vision disorders following acquired brain injury. She served as a capstone mentor and secondary author on research examining expert practice patterns for evaluating pediatric concussion-related vision disorders and has co-authored two chapters in Dr. Mitchell Scheiman’s Understanding and Managing Vision Deficits: A Guide for Occupational Therapists.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Reiser serves as adjunct faculty in Drexel University’s OTD program and works with the American Occupational Therapy Association to advance occupational therapy’s role in vision remediation and collaborative care with optometry. She also co-owns NeurOT Consulting, providing education and training to clinicians and organizations in holistic neurological rehabilitation.

Across her clinical, research, and educational work, Dr. Reiser’s goal remains the same: to help individuals better understand what is happening after brain injury and provide practical, evidence-informed strategies that help them participate more fully in their everyday lives.
