Professional Experience:
With many years of professional caregiving experience, Tonya has dedicated her career to improving the lives of others. She began her journey as a professional caregiver at the Lancaster office of Home Instead, where she developed her expertise in providing compassionate, quality care. Currently, she serves as a Service Manager at the Lebanon office of Home Instead, overseeing caregiving operations and ensuring high standards of service. Her caregiving roots trace back to the age of 13 when she began providing care for her grandmother’s dear friend. In addition to her professional work, Tonya is an active volunteer with the Rotary Club, contributing her skills to grant writing, fundraising, and financial management, as well as serving her local church community.
Relationship with Brain Injury:
As the primary caregiver for her husband, Terry, a traumatic brain injury survivor, Tonya has a deep and personal connection to the challenges faced by brain injury survivors and their families. Her firsthand experience navigating the complexities of caregiving, along with her unwavering dedication to her husband’s healing and well-being, has given her unique insights and a profound sense of empathy for others on similar journeys.
Passion for the Mission of Hope Survives:
Tonya is honored to serve on the founding board of Hope Survives, where she aims to contribute to a future where every survivor and caregiver feels supported and connected to a community of hope. Her lifelong dedication to caregiving and her experience with her husband’s TBI have fueled her belief in the importance of empowering families and survivors to navigate their healing journeys with dignity and encouragement. A woman of faith with a heart for service, Tonya is passionate about helping brain injury survivors and their families find hope, healing, and support.
