Can you share about the brain injury event itself?
I was riding my electric scooter and someone hit me with their car. This happened on 08/04/2025.

How did you feel during the first days, weeks, or months after the injury?
It was difficult to be myself again.



What kind of rehabilitation therapies or treatment have been most helpful through the process of recovery?
Physical therapy and doing my daily tasks.


What have been some of the biggest challenges you or your loved one has faced during recovery?
Simple things like changing my clothes and expressing my feelings.

How has your life changed since the brain injury?
Traumatic.

What role has support from family, friends, or community played in your journey?
My whole family has been with me the whole journey.


What has surprised you about this journey with brain injury?
That I need help when I don't feel that I need it, and that people don't understand.


What do you know now that you wish you knew at the beginning of this journey?
All the issues that I had to go through.


What does "hope" mean to you?
That I am getting a second chance.
